Collection: Altadena Swag

Altadena sits at the top of the valley, right up against the San Gabriels, unincorporated by choice and particular about it.

This collection is our California bear flag design, made for Altadena, on wall flags, sweatshirts and more.

Christmas Tree Lane has been lit every December since 1920, under deodar cedars planted in the 1880s — the oldest large outdoor lighting display in the country, run by volunteers the whole time. The Cobb Estate gate at the top of Lake Avenue opens onto the trail up Echo Mountain. The mountains are close enough that the town has always been half in them.

Altadena also matters for a reason that doesn't make the guidebooks: through the middle of the last century it was one of the few places in Los Angeles County where Black families could actually buy homes, and generations built real ownership and community here as a result.

The Eaton Fire took a great deal of that in January 2025. People are rebuilding. This is for them, and for anyone who knows what the place is.
